Responsibilities

• Provides technical services and assists in the Hybrid Room and Operating Room while providing care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
• Works collaboratively to complete all Cardiac Surgical Technologist assignments under the direct supervision of the assigned clinician for the case and the Director.
• Performs advanced tasks routinely in support of the surgical team.
• Arranges sterile setup for surgical procedures, passes instruments, as well as sponges and sutures to surgeons and surgical assistants.
• Prepares sterile supplies, assists in cleanup of the operating room, checks placement and operation of equipment, and checks and restocks the operating room after each procedure.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in a surgery/CV/cardiac hospital setting.
• Lead CST experience is highly preferred.
• Formal training from an accredited Certified Surgical Technician Program.
• Current Certified Surgical Tech Certification required.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association (BLS or BCLS) Course Completion and Certification required.
