About the role

Under the supervision of the registered professional nurse, participates in the intraoperative phase of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the intraoperative phase of patient care under the supervision of the registered professional nurse.
• Works as a team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction in the perioperative setting.
• Uses experience, knowledge, and skills to provide care in various surgical specialties including gynecology, ear, nose and throat, orthopedics, cosmetic and neurosurgery.
• Completes AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program, Freeman Health System Surgical Technologist program, or greater than two years of clinical practice as a Scrub Tech in a hospital setting.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.

Schedule

• Shift Options: 36 hours per week
• Full-Time: Day Shift (6:30am-7pm), Night Shift (6:30pm-7am) with Wed, Thurs, Fri night shifts
