Surgical Tech Certified Dept Pool
About the role
The Surgical Technologist Department Pool supports the surgical team by performing technical support during the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of an RN.
Responsibilities
- Performs sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up as per clinical standards.
- Maintains and uses laser equipment appropriately.
- Applies clinical skills relevant to the position.
- Displays interpersonal skills necessary for effective teamwork.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program.
- CST (Surgical Tech) certification.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Specific Skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up.
- Experience with laser equipment use and maintenance.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks relevant to the position.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
