Responsibilities

• Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures.
• Understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
• Ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure.
• Maintains vigilance for the sterile field throughout the procedure.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet at least one of the following:
  • Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent.
  • Certified Surgical Tech (CST).
  • 1+ years of prior operating room experience.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
