About the role

As a Surgical Services Aide (PRN) at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, you will support life‑changing surgeries by preparing operating rooms, safely transporting patients, and maintaining a clean, organized environment, directly impacting patient safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stock the operating room with supplies, equipment, and fluids to ensure procedures start smoothly.
• Transport and transfer patients safely, verify identity, and follow protocols for special needs or medical equipment.
• Assist with cleaning and turning over operating rooms between cases and at the end of the day to maintain a sterile environment.
• Monitor equipment for potential issues and promptly report concerns to support safe surgical operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the surgical suite, including hallways, supply areas, and common spaces.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
