ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Surgical Scheduler II for our Colorectal Department in Medical Arts Pavilion I in Newark, DE.
About the role
As Surgical Scheduler II, you will coordinate and schedule patient surgeries, diagnostic tests, and referrals; arrange medical and cardiac clearances; complete pre-operative testing requirements; and review medications and health histories to ensure surgical readiness. This position also assists in front desk responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate surgical and procedural scheduling to ensure seamless patient flow and support physician needs.
- Arrange medical and cardiac clearances.
- Manage OR postings and joint surgical cases.
- Coordinate imaging, testing, and specialty appointments.
- Counsel patients on pre- and post-operative instructions.
- Maintain provider schedules and prepare patient charts.
- Support front-desk and clinical staff as needed.
- Facilitate new diagnosis workflows.
- Ensure timely follow-up and communication to support safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Three to five years of experience in a private medical office and/or outside facility required.
- One year of surgical scheduling preferred.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Pay
Hourly pay range: $21.03 - $31.54. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
