Surgical Physician Assistant

About the role

First Assist, pre/post op and admit/discharge - Surgical Pool of all specialties. This role will be 4-10 hour days - no weekends!

Responsibilities

• Work 4-10 hour days a week - no weekends
• Full scope total care surgical needs: pre-op, first assist, post-op
• Surgical consults/patient history evaluations, admit/discharge
• Function under the supervision of supervising attending surgeon
• Cover a variety of specialties including Bariatric, General, Head & Neck, OBGYN, Orthopedic, Vascular, Plastics, Neurosurgery, and Thoracic

Requirements

• PA with 1+ years of Surgery experience.
• 1st assist experience is of most importance.
• Must be Board Certified.
• Licensed in NY.
• Work out of one hospital.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
