Surgical Oncologist - Breast
About the role
Cancer Care Northwest, the Inland Northwest’s premier cancer center with over 50 years of integrated oncology care, seeks a fellowship-trained breast surgeon or a qualified general surgeon with a strong interest in building a breast surgery practice. Join a multidisciplinary team of more than 30 providers—medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists alongside advanced practice providers—in Spokane, Washington. The role offers a balanced home life, significant autonomy, and access to subspecialty support including radiology, pathology, and plastic surgery.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive breast surgical care in clinic and operating room settings
- Participate in weekly tumor boards and clinical trial research opportunities
- Engage in teaching through affiliations with two local medical schools and residency programs
- Practice typically includes 2 clinic days, 2 surgery days, and 1 variable day for administration, catch-up, or additional surgical coverage
Requirements
- Washington MD license upon appointment
- Completion of a Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship
Compensation
Base salary: $350,000 – $450,000 plus generous productivity-based incentives. A sign-on and relocation package is available.
