Surgery Scheduler - Gastroenterology Palm Harbor

Status: Fulltime
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (May Vary)
Shift Days: Monday thru Friday
Location: Palm Harbor, FL

Responsibilities

• Effectively and efficiently addresses the needs of both internal and external customers when scheduling patients
• Carefully collect demographic, insurance, and procedure information
• Accurately schedule procedures
• Deliver complex clinical examination instructions
• Document patient response to clinical questions
• Keep the patients physician and hospital offices current with information about their scheduled procedures
• Must be familiar with payer guidelines for balancing authorization requirements with scheduled appointment dates
• Perform general clerical support that includes answering telephones, data entry, communication, and other assigned duties
• Must be flexible and willing to rotate shifts periodically
• Must be able to travel within the BayCare Health System area using personal transportation

Requirements

• Required Education: High School or Equivalent
• Experience Required: 1 year customer service or 1 year healthcare
