Surgery Scheduler Biller

Monday - Friday, 6am to 3pm

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Responsibilities

• Performs patient scheduling for the OR department.
• Schedules all patients for procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Collects the appropriate demographic and insurance information needed for billing.
• Utilizes appropriate information to ensure the proper sequence of patients.
• Tracks charges of OR time, supplies, medications, and equipment used and coordinates special requests as appropriate.

Requirements

• Type 60 wpm.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
• Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, including manipulating paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
• See and read computer monitors and documents.
• Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the medical field.

Pay

Hourly range: $17.77 - $23.10. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
