Surgery RN with call

Job Description Summary

This position requires on-call shifts with a commitment of 30 minutes or less, dressed and reporting at the facility. Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. (Department has scheduled staff to operate 24/7/365).

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and plans care for patients based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems.
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing interventions and modifies care plans accordingly.
• Leads process improvement activities to enhance clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Performs nursing duties in accordance with department policies and nursing care standards.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
• BLS certification.
• BSN required within 5 years of employment.
• Must have at least 2 years of recent OR experience as an RN in an acute care hospital setting.
• Must commit to on-call shifts with a 30-minute call response time to include driving, parking, changing, and reporting all on 30 minutes or less.
