Surgery Center Administrator

About the Role
The Surgery Center Administrator is responsible for the daily operations of the center, including strategic growth, development, and managing all operational and financial targets. In conjunction with the Medical Director, MEC, and Governing Body, the Administrator constructs and implements policies, procedures, and bylaws while ensuring compliance with goals and standards for the Surgery Ventures Group and regulatory bodies. The role ensures the availability of adequate resources for property maintenance and fosters positive working relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate positive and effective working relationships with stakeholders through recognition and reward.
- Communicate with division and hospital administration in overlap markets.
- Ensure day-to-day operations comply with regulations.
- Coordinate the use of corporate personnel resources.
- Participate in professional and community organizations to promote positive public relations.
- Assume responsibility for the strategy and business development of the center in conjunction with the Physician & Provider Relations Team.
- Build a competitively superior organization by attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining talent.
- Ensure people with the right skills and motivations are in the right roles to meet business needs.
- Implement and maintain personnel policies, employee benefits, wage and salary programs, and job descriptions.
- Establish internal organizational lines of communication, authority, and accountability while fostering a healthy work environment.
- Negotiate and execute center contracts and referral contracts requiring legal review.
- Work with the leadership team to manage investment opportunities and uphold partnership agreements.
- Ensure policies and procedures are current and accessible for colleagues and medical staff.
- Ensure compliance with accrediting requirements and regulations for successful survey processes.
- Act as a liaison with physicians, patients, and third-party payors to educate and encourage industry growth.
- Collaborate with the CBO to oversee business office functions.
- Ensure efficient processing of ordering, receiving, and paying for supplies.
- Lead Partnership and Partner Advisory Board meetings with limited partners and maintain required documentation.
- Participate in planning, implementation, and reporting for performance improvement, budgets, service excellence, safety, risk management, and infection control programs.
- Complete required training to fulfill the role of ECO and/or FPO for the facility.
- Ensure all staff complete annual competency and required education.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of healthcare operations leadership experience.
- RN highly preferred.

Aurora Endoscopy Center, located in Aurora, Colorado near I-225 and E Iliff Ave, has a long and respected reputation as a provider of ambulatory surgical care. The center features two procedure rooms with the newest technology, performing around 330 cases monthly in gastrointestinal endoscopy services.
