Surg Tech CVOR – Travel Job
About the role
Join our team at Jackson HealthPros as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist where you’ll function as a member of a cardiac team, expertly assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. You’ll ensure the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and sterilize equipment
- Support the surgical team during cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
- Work independently with minimal guidance in various cardiac surgeries including CABG, valvuloplasty, aortic procedures, and transplant
- Provide strong CVOR background with experience in robotic thoracic cases, generator exchanges, lead extractions, heart transplants, and fem-pop bypass
- Work in a fast-paced environment with EPIC experience
Requirements
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- BLS Certification
- 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment
- Graduation from an accredited school
- Cardiac and thoracic surgery experience including CABG, valvuloplasty, aortic procedures, and transplant
- Strong CVOR background with ability to work independently with minimal guidance in CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, robotic thoracic cases, generator exchanges, lead extractions, heart transplants, fem-pop bypass, and generator exchanges
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- BLS Certification
- 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment
- Graduation from an accredited school
- Cardiac and thoracic surgery experience including CABG, valvuloplasty, aortic procedures, and transplant
- Strong CVOR background with experience in various cardiac surgeries and procedures
Skills
- Expertise in CVOR procedures
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of EPIC and other relevant software

Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Rotating call requirements apply.
