About the role
As a Surface & Storm Water Practice Area Lead, you will oversee the development and implementation of innovative solutions for storm water management and surface water quality improvement projects. You will lead a team of professionals in designing sustainable infrastructure that meets regulatory requirements and enhances environmental quality.Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and implementation of storm water and surface water management projects.
- Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive project scopes and budgets.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the planning and execution of complex projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to storm water and surface water management.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Contribute to the growth and success of the Surface & Storm Water Practice Area by participating in professional development activities and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in storm water and surface water management.
- Experience leading large-scale projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of storm water and surface water management laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience with grant writing and securing funding for environmental projects.
- Knowledge of hydraulic modeling and water quality analysis tools.
Skills
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
