Surface Grinder

FLC-CITCO Tools is actively seeking a Surface Grinder Operator to join its team in Concord Twp., Ohio. About the role

As a Surface Grinder Operator, you will set up and operate surface grinding machines to shape and finish metal parts. You will adjust machine settings and grinding wheels to produce parts with the correct size and smooth finish, read blueprints and work instructions, measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools, and follow all quality control, workplace safety, and production standards. The role involves working with steel, carbide, and specialty materials under the direction of the Production Supervisor as part of the Cutting Tools team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate surface grinding machines to shape and finish metal parts.
• Adjust machine settings and grinding wheels to produce parts to the correct size and smooth finish.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to produce quality parts.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
• Follow all quality control, workplace safety, and production standards.
• Work with steel, carbide, and specialty materials to produce finished components.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience; previous machinist or tooling experience preferred.
• Strong shop math capabilities to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
• Familiarity with reading Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.

Schedule

1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (Overtime available).

Pay

Competitive pay rates based on experience.
