About the Role
Clinical Liaisons form, grow, and maintain long-term partnerships with physicians, urgent care facilities, medical specialty groups, and other clinical groups to increase referrals and gain market share.
Responsibilities
- Successfully complete all training and on-boarding requirements.
- Identify, contact, and build strong relationships with medical contacts for press releases and coverage of doctors, procedures, and specialties.
- Submit weekly status reports and present information during weekly clinical meetings.
- Maintain awareness of competitive activity within the market and update information as needed.
- Execute a monthly plan/budget and submit expense reports accurately and timely.
- Manage and execute events such as CPR and First Aid classes.
- Set up seminars/webinars for providers, including learning the webinar platform, building PowerPoint presentations, and assisting presenters.
- Develop medical and disease state knowledge to effectively engage with healthcare professionals regarding clinical evidence, product, and service efficacy/safety.
- Identify new business, relationships, potential problems, and new opportunities.
- Identify and implement ways to streamline clinical referrals.
- Develop long-term clinical referral relationships while achieving high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Maintain relationships with physicians and key influencers to drive patient volume and enhance customer loyalty, including face-to-face introductions, mailing materials, and phone calls.
- Communicate opportunities to assist in developing strategic objectives to improve volume.
- Conduct calls with physicians and clinical staff to secure business.
- Identify practice administrators and referral coordinators, establish relationships, and become the point person for referral or material needs.
- Act as a liaison between physicians, clinicians, and employees to resolve problems, provide and obtain information, and maintain positive working relationships.
- Maintain confidentiality with staff, supervisors, patients, and family.
- Complete projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, and monitoring progress.
- Demonstrate knowledge of company policies and their relevance to issues.
- Assist with planning and preparation of corporate events.
- Provide support to and take direction from directors and managers.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
- Serve as a CPR Instructor for community classes at ER facilities.
- Maintain an updated Referral Binder at all facilities.
- Maintain an updated Transfer Resource List (MOT Binder) at all facilities.
- Visit facilities with clinical staff as needed.
- Act as a liaison with EMS vendors.
- Act as a liaison with hospitals to follow up on patient transfers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Ability to work in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Business development experience preferred.
- 3 years’ experience in healthcare.
- Successfully demonstrated meeting quotas/goals.
- Ability to learn, analyze, understand, and convey complex information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong attention to detail, clinical/medical acumen, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize resources, including people, tools, and time, to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle for transportation.
- Ability to travel to all facilities in the DFW area as well as the Corpus Christi location.
