About the role

As an Inventory Control Supervisor at CUES (part of SPX Technologies’ Detection and Measurement platform), you will oversee inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items. You will secure the warehouse and supervise warehouse, shipping, receiving, and logistics employees at the Rio Vista location, including coordinating parts runs between the Rio and Mercy locations and distributing parts to all other satellite locations.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Duties
    • Create and maintain work procedures; prepare work schedules and expedite workflow and materials between locations.
    • Ensure all shipments comply with local, state, and federal regulations as outlined by the shipping coordinator.
    • Set goals for performance and deadlines to align with the company’s KPIs.
    • Supervise all warehouse, shipping, receiving, and logistics employees, managing productivity and quality of work.
    • Manage time sheets daily.
    • Support daily cycle counting requirements.
  • Warehouse Operations and Management
    • Ensure best shipping practices and standard procedures are followed.
    • Work closely with Production Control daily to meet production schedule requirements.
    • Audit and track daily status of all kit pulls, distribution orders, validated orders not shipped, and inbound receiving exceptions.
    • Enforce and promote a safe work environment through monthly trainings, inspections, and mentoring of employees.
    • Maintain 5S compliance throughout the warehouse.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Lead and participate in Kaizen events.
    • Identify opportunities to improve inventory process flow.
    • Drive 5S culture throughout the warehouse.

Requirements

  • Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Knowledge of MRP systems, production control, and inventory control.
    • Microsoft Office suite experience.
    • 3 years of previous supervisory experience.
    • 5 years of warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience.
  • Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
    • Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing warehouse management systems (WMS), including RF scanning technologies and processes.
    • Lean manufacturing experience, including 5S.
    • Proven experience with shipping via UPS, FedEx, DHL, or LTL freight.
    • Forklift experience.
  • Education & Certifications
    • Bachelor’s degree required.

Schedule

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, on-site.
