About the role

Exelon is a Fortune 200 company with 20,000 colleagues serving more than 10.7 million customers at six energy companies – Atlantic City Electric (ACE), Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE), Commonwealth Edison (ComEd), Delmarva Power & Light (DPL), PECO Energy Company (PECO), and Potomac Electric Power Company (Pepco). The organization is powered by purpose‑driven people who value safety, innovation, integrity, and community service.

Primary Purpose: Supervise, direct, and control day‑to‑day Fleet Services maintenance operations in multiple repair facilities to safely maintain vehicle availability, reliability, performance, and appearance consistent with Company objectives and standards in a cost‑effective manner. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

Job Scope: This position is responsible for managing an annual indirect expense budget of $1M‑$4M and a staff of approximately 15 to 20 craft employees. Failure to meet safety goals will jeopardize the health and well‑being of employees, clients, internal and external customers. Failure to meet financial targets would cause an increase in vehicle rates and directly impact the financial targets of EED, Exelon and our external customers. This position must be able to effectively communicate with various department supervisors in identifying vehicle and equipment needs and scheduling equipment maintenance. Actively participate in various safety councils and respond to stakeholder requests in a timely manner to ensure focus on internal customer needs. Failure to effectively manage the repair shops could cause excessive vehicle downtime, impacting the EED System Reliability Goals. This position interacts with State Transportation and Environmental agencies. Failure to comply with Federal, State and local regulations during day‑to‑day shop operations could result in loss of required licensing and subject Exelon to significant fines. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 × 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
