About the role
The position involves supervising personnel, managing safety and continuous improvement efforts, coordinating work assignments, and overseeing employee development.
Responsibilities
- Captures and coordinates daily and weekly efficiency reports to ensure operational efficiency.
- Moves and manages labor to optimize workflow within assigned areas.
- Manages safety and continuous improvement efforts within assigned area.
- Trains and monitors employees in all aspects of their job duties.
- Communicates and supports new processes and lean initiatives to associates.
- Performs managerial tasks including performance evaluations, training, and policy enforcement.
- Supports associate motivation and overall staff development.
- Achieves departmental production/delivery goals.
Requirements
- One year of experience in a leadership position.
- Knowledgeable in order filling practices and procedures.
- Knowledgeable with computer applications and related analytical systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledgeable in providing employee development, recognition, delegation, and guidance.
- A BS degree in Business or related field of study preferred, or equivalent work experience.
