Responsibilities
- Direct experience in managing personnel and manufacturing leadership
- Analyze and adjust scheduling of customer kanban to better meet customer and production needs
- Coordinate daily activities to determine production and quality delivery issues
- Problem-solving and resolution to meet business efficiency plan
- Assign and delegate responsibility for specific work to meet safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery goals
- Track and maintain training of employees to meet business objectives
- Verify shipments meet customer requirements and are accurate to the shipment pull sheet
- Monitor and maintain KPIs for the department, including overtime, key performance metrics, and downtime
- Create work instructions based on cycle times and meet targeted production times
- Operate equipment, fill-in, and conduct tasks to support production team members
- Maintain and monitor proper performance of equipment
- Analyze and identify potential cost savings
- Work flexible schedule and overtime as required
- Complete other projects and assignments as requested by the management team
Qualifications
- Strong math skills, including ability to compute rate, ratio, and interpret bar graphs
- Good language skills, including ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals or technical procedures
- Ability to write reports and procedure manuals
- Effective presentation and communication skills
- 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and talk or hear. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision.
Working Environment
Must be able to work in the manufacturing floor 85% of the time, use protective equipment according to safety requirements, work in heavy traffic areas, and tolerate hot and humid conditions, as well as noisy areas where hearing protective equipment is required.
