About the role
The Supported Living Lead at LOGAN Community Resources is responsible for overseeing operations at assigned service locations. This includes managing programming, operations, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provides a positive environment for individuals served that allows for learning and enjoyment of activities.
- Provides consistent meaningful activities.
- Directs and trains individuals served.
- Encourages individuals to be as independent as possible in their daily routine and teaches them.
- Initiates activities and encourages participation from individuals.
- Performs housekeeping, maintenance, shopping, meal preparation, grooming, and bathing tasks.
- Implements goals and behavior management plans.
- Acts as a listener and encourages expression of personal preferences.
- Identifies personal interests of individuals.
- Assists with positioning, transfers, and personal care.
- Maintains personal cleanliness and monitors possessions, clothing, and adaptive equipment.
- Administers medications and promotes a healthy environment.
- Supports individuals in accessing community resources and recreational activities.
- Aids in money management and benefit applications.
- Transports individuals using personally owned vehicles.
- Adheres to regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
- Participates in team meetings and ensures proper coverage of shifts.
- Monitors daily schedules and completes performance evaluations.
- Serves as an advocate for each individual.
- Maintains health and safety of individuals and staff.
- Serves as a role model and protects the human rights of individuals.
- Participates in training and maintains strong working relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Some college education preferred
- One year of general supervisory experience preferred
- Two years of experience in direct programming for individuals with developmental disabilities
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration Certification required
- Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, registration, and acceptable driving record
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good organizational and time management skills, problem-solving skills
- A strong sense of confidentiality, knowledge of community services, and good judgment
- Ability to make decisions under pressure and adapt to stressful situations quickly and effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to assist up to 50 pounds
