About the role
RFMH is seeking a Supported Education & Employment Specialist (SEES) for the Washington Heights Community Service (WHCS) OnTrackNY team. OnTrackNY is a Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) treatment program based at the NYS Psychiatric Institute/Columbia Department of Psychiatry, a premier research, clinical, and academic center. The program serves teens and young adults experiencing early psychosis. Our mission is to empower young people to make meaning of their experiences and to pursue their goals for school, work, and relationships.
The SEES is a full-time, on-site position supporting participants in meeting their goals for school and work. OnTrackNY offers:

Responsibilities
- Engage participants and establish trusting, collaborative relationships directed toward the goal of school or employment
- Provide job development and job search services based on participants' interests (e.g., helping participants explore their interests, practice skills that can help them get a job, etc.)
- Spend significant time in the community (e.g., meeting participants at home, workplace, school, coffee shop, library, etc.)
- Meet with school personnel and potential employers
- Use online applications and resources to assist participants with creating or updating resumes and job searching
- Arrange access to entitlements counseling for participants and their families
- Collaborate closely with team members and participate in the weekly team meeting
- Ensure timely documentation of all services provided
- Collect information and track data related to participants' engagement with school and work
- Complete other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
Qualifications
- Experience providing employment or education services (preferred)
- One year of experience working with adolescents and/or adults diagnosed with mental illness (preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
