Support Merchandiser - Monroe, WA

About the role

American Greetings is seeking a Support Merchandiser to help customers celebrate holidays and special moments. The ideal candidate will showcase product organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory levels in various retail locations.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations
• Maintain an organized backroom area
• Other inventory tasks as needed
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours
• Occasionally assist with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary, training provided
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Access to reliable transportation and internet
• Technological competency to use company-issued tablet for training and daily activities
• Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and major holiday periods

Qualifications

• Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 40 pounds throughout the workday
• Ability to use a stepstool as needed

Pay & Schedule

The starting pay is $18.00 per hour, increasing to $19.00 after 6 months and $20.00 after 1 year of employment. Flexible work scheduling is offered.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 2 hours, which may increase to an average of 6 hours per week around holidays. Additional support may be needed in the territory with required availability for multiple days in succession and increased hours per day if applicable.
