About the role

As a Support Merchandiser with American Greetings, you play a crucial role in our mission to help people celebrate holidays and special moments by showcasing and managing our celebration products.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders.
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations.
• Maintain an organized backroom area.
• Other inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management about service or schedule issues.
• Utilize effective time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours.
• Occasionally assist with store resets involving minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal.
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet.
• Work independently and with a team.

Requirements

• No prior experience necessary. Training will be provided.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Access to reliable transportation and internet.
• Technological competency to use a company-issued tablet for training and daily activities.
• Ability to meet scheduling needs, including weekends and major holiday periods.

Qualifications

• Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to use a stepstool as needed.

Pay

The starting pay is $17.10 per hour, with increases to $18.10 after 6 months and $19.00 after 1 year of continued employment. Pay rates may vary based on work location.

Schedule

The weekly average hours are 2 hours, which may increase to an average of 10 hours per week around holidays. Additional support may be needed for required availability on weekends and major holidays.
