Responsibilities

• Ensure all crew members deliver exceptional customer service through personal interaction, training them on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience to provide a fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee daily store associate activities, ensuring effective performance and excellent customer service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock to place items efficiently on the sales floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and urgent issue resolution.
• Manage store opening and closing procedures, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates, teaching store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures to improve performance.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Partner with the store leadership team on merchandising procedures and inventory recovery.
• Perform store maintenance tasks, such as taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the stock room.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Store Manager based on store needs.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and think creatively.
• Maintain composure under pressure.

Essential Job Functions

• Frequently operate a cash register.
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove items at heights of 5-10 feet.
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise.
• Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Frequently communicate with customers, managers, and coworkers in person, by telephone, and via email.
• Frequently move across the sales floor and between the sales floor and stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and potential travel as required by business needs.
• Identify and follow email and print instructions for merchandise layouts, schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
• Be at least 18 years old and able to perform all essential job functions in compliance with applicable laws.
