Support Engineer - Industrial Water Treatment

Solenis is a 2025 Best Managed Company Gold Standard honoree. This Support Engineer position is for the Pulp and Water division in New York/New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing and monitoring at the customer site including data entry and contribute to service report preparation
• Interface with the customer to understand any issues with chemicals or equipment
• Manage product inventory at the customer including deliveries to process units and offloading to customer tanks
• Adjust chemical feed levels to meet optimal chemical performance based on routine testing and monitoring; deliver chemical and compile trial data at the customer site
• Alert the site manager of any problems or opportunities with the customer and begin to troubleshoot issues
• Conduct expanded testing of process variables to identify dosage improvements or mechanical impacts
• Spec out, set up, maintain and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment
• Work with the site team and customers to ensure optimal program performance
• Conduct lab testing, repair and install chemical feed equipment, input data into Excel, manage inventory control, perform chemical transfers, and maintain positive customer (mill personnel) relationships

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or other technical degree (experience considered in lieu of degree)
• Ability to solve complex and non-routine technical problems
• Strong relationship management skills
• Industry and customer literate, or ability to pick up industry and Solenis technologies quickly
• Drive for results; proactively addresses complex issues
• Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and physical
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is between $70,250.00 and $103,026.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law.
