Supply Technician Food Services

Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

• Verifies accuracy of shipment by counting, weighing or measuring items and comparing to information on invoice or packing slip and purchase order.
• Inspects items for damages or defects such as spoilage, dents, and breakage.
• Performs temperature checks of potential hazardous foods.
• Attaches invoice to purchase order and forwards to Dietary Office for recording.
• Prioritizes storage of items received, stocking frozen and refrigerated items immediately upon receipt.
• Stocks grocery items stored at room temperature last.
• Carries, hand trucks or pallet jacks items from receiving area to proper storage areas.

Qualifications

• Licenses/Registrations/Certifications: Not applicable
• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience: Hospital food service experience preferred, but on-the-job training is provided
