About the role

You will serve as a SUPPLY SYSTEM ANALYST in the Strategic Analysis Division (Code 510.2), Compliance and Strategic Analysis Division (Code 510), Supply Department (Code 500) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Qualifications

  • GS-12: At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, demonstrating experience generating, monitoring, and analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to identify trends, process gaps, or system deficiencies; making decisions that encompass interpretation, evaluation and recommendations of new concepts, methods and techniques; conducting studies to determine whether proposed changes to system applications meet functional user requirements and to translate general policy guidance into detailed operational procedures; providing logistical guidance to supply planning, shipping/receiving and inventory departments within a supply agency or private industry; and solving complex problems in supply operations and management programs in the supply program.
  • GS-11: At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, demonstrating experience providing logistical guidance to supply planning, shipping/receiving and inventory departments within a supply agency or private industry; performing work supply processes, and supply data management operational procedures with a strategical approach for day to day operations; applying metrics to improve performance of other disciplines involved in strategic analyst planning and execution; tracking and developing mitigation plans for diminishing material sources; solving complex problems in supply operations and management programs with problem analysis and root cause determination techniques.

Education

  • In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-11 - Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
