About the role
Autoliv’s primary goal is to Save More Lives. Our products—seatbelts, airbags, and steering wheels—never get a second chance, so we never compromise on quality. As a Supply Planning Specialist, you will help ensure the uninterrupted flow of components that keep our safety systems in production.
Responsibilities
- Release planned orders, schedules, and forecasts to suppliers for component requirements based on production plans and customer forecasts.
- Hold suppliers accountable for on-time delivery and manage supplier relationships.
- Develop recovery plans as needed to maintain production continuity.
- Work closely with customer (production) planners daily to ensure product availability through monitoring and oversight of inventory systems.
- Manage inbound logistics and expedite shipments when necessary.
- Assist the receiving team in resolving issues or questions with inbound freight.
- Set lead times and inventory targets based on demand, logistics patterns, risk, and other factors.
- Maximize shipment efficiencies and resolve unacceptable situations with suppliers, carriers, receiving departments, inventory analysts, and buyers.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers, production, purchasing, and carriers.
- Advise on trends or shifts in demand that could impact the company’s service levels.
- Respond to critical logistics issues during off-hours as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
