Supply Inventory Specialist

About the role

The Supply Inventory Specialist ensures the office environment is fully prepared for building occupants by ensuring appropriately stocked, organized, and functional communal areas. Under the direction of the Manager, Special Projects, this role supports the relocation process and performs building-related tasks as necessary to ensure a seamless transition for employees moving workspaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality service by maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance while working in high-traffic corporate environments.
• Engage in professional face-to-face interaction with clients and occupants to answer basic project questions or redirect inquiries to the appropriate lead.
• Communicate effectively with onsite team members and project management regarding progress, blockers, or immediate facility needs.
• Perform onsite move verification and quality control walks to ensure the functionality of all equipment (signage, IT equipment, etc.) and overall workspace readiness.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Assist with other tasks as needed to support the project.
• Stock copy centers, kitchens, and storage rooms.
• Set up break rooms and label file cabinets.
• Remove stickers from newly installed items.
• Provide logistical support for the organization and relocation of technology peripherals, specialty IT items, and storage room materials.
• Maintain minimum standard levels of inventory in each comm center throughout the building.
• Unpack and stock new item deliveries in assigned areas.
• Maintain neat and organized inventory to provide an inviting environment for customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required, Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, inventory management, or facilities/operations.

• Ability to work independently and out of the line of sight from other team members for all or part of a shift.
• Superior attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to be flexible and change direction at a moment’s notice; not change-adverse.
• Ability to work cohesively with other supporting vendors, including project management, security, and facilities.
• Ability to understand, interpret and follow Northwest Center (NWC) and client policies and procedures.
• Commitment to work in an inclusive and diverse environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Must be able to frequently carry and lift supplies/equipment, up to 50 pounds. May need to carry supplies to other buildings. Variable working hours with occasional nights and weekends. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time, up to the entire duration of the shift. Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend the English language. Ability to see both distance and details at close range, within a few feet of the observer (with or without corrective lenses). Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person (with or without a personal auditory hearing device).

Pay and Schedule

Starting Wage: $26.16, Full Range $26.16 - $31.69. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am - 4pm. Project Length: 4/14 – 4/17.
