Supply Distribution Attendant

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties relative to the inventory, restocking, and distribution of par stock areas in an acceptable and satisfactory manner.
• Inventories supplies held on specified units with the aid of hand-held devices.
• Transmits reorder information to Supply Distribution.
• Pulls necessary supplies for replenishment to return stock to designated par levels.
• Assists the Logistics Supervisor in adjusting inventory and pars to their optimal levels.
• Performs calculations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to determine product unit of issue.
• Performs percentage calculations to adjust inventory and pars to the optimal levels.
• Maintains Supply Distribution inventory as required.
• Requisitions supplies from Materials Management necessary to maintain required inventory levels in storeroom.
• Rotates supplies and stocks shelves as necessary.
• Fills all department requisitions within 48 hours of receipt.
• Makes appropriate disposition of all paperwork.
• Affixes requisition forms to incoming packages for computer input after delivery.
• Notifies supervisory personnel of items either out of stock or in short supply.
• Maintains all work areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Keeps supplies in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Keeps shelves clean of any unnecessary packaging.
• Sweeps area on a daily basis.
• Keeps aisles and work area clean of packages and debris.
• Assists with cycle counts and annual inventories as required.
• Rotates to holidays, weekends, and other shifts depending on Medical Center supply requirements.
• Maintains inventory record accuracy.
• Verifies, at the time of delivery, that the material to be received is material destined for Mount Nittany Medical Center.
• Verifies that the number of packages received is the number of packages signed for.
• Verifies that all materials received are in an undamaged condition.
• Fills all department requisitions within 48 hours of receipt.
• Uses fork truck to unload, load, move, and put away large heavy items.
• Makes proper disposition of non-materials management items received daily.
• Delivers all packages received by expedited services within three (3) hours of delivery to the ordering department.
• Delivers all non-stock items to the ordering department daily.
• Delivers all packages marked perishable or refrigerates within one (1) hour of delivery.
• Makes proper disposition of stock items.
• Opens all packages to check contents against the purchase order and verifies condition of material.
