Supply Distribution Associate - North Surgery Center

About the role

The Supply Distribution Associate performs material handling functions including but not limited to: Supply Distribution, Linen Distribution, Shipping/Receiving, and Sterile Processing (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provides service to others in a willing and courteous manner.
• Fosters teamwork with peers and other hospital staff.
• Performs Supply and Linen Distribution.
• Maintains a base knowledge of medical supplies.
• Responds to calls from clinical areas for special requests.
• Aids in product recall alerts.
• Maintains crash cart supply process.
• Manages manufacture backorder processes for all customers.
• Manages recall process for items in par levels.
• Helps manage storage and handling needs of items stored in clean storage areas.
• Maintains consistency in monitoring of supply expiration dates.
• Supports and participates in Department Quality Assurance Program and process improvement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Previous material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to operate material handling related equipment safely.
• Knowledge of inventory and computer related inventory functions.
• Works with clinical areas to establish needs, changes, and new item processes.
