Supply Clerk - INF
Summary of Primary Functions
The Supply Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment needed to support daily operations. This position ensures that materials are accurately tracked and readily available to meet production and departmental needs. The Supply Clerk works closely with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production personnel to maintain organized inventory records and efficient material flow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Store materials in designated locations and maintain an organized warehouse or stockroom.
- Issue materials and supplies to employees and departments as requested.
- Enter receiving, issuing, and inventory transactions into IFS or other inventory management systems.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, including finished goods, inventory, and non-inventory items.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with weekly, monthly, and annual physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and notify Purchasing when items need to be reordered.
- Prepare materials for shipment and coordinate outgoing deliveries when required.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely, as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
