About the role

The Supply Chain Utility Clerk performs general warehouse work that may involve responsibilities throughout the warehouse, including packaging/shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and picking kits for production. This position interfaces with all departments in operations.

Responsibilities

  • Package standard assemblies and components per routing requirements.
  • Provide shipping data for billing.
  • Set up labels on bagging machine and coordinate maintenance and repair as needed.
  • Assist with shipping tasks, including processing orders.
  • Set up uni-pack labels on Zebra machine for bag and tag.
  • Support receiving clerk as needed.
  • Accept vendor deliveries and sign for packages.
  • Receive and store new product shipments.
  • Verify that Purchase Order receipts match packing slip and SKUs/Quantity in each box.
  • Perform cycle counting, picking, and inventory control functions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Understand and uphold all Crissair safety policies and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and one year certificate from college or technical school.
  • One month of related experience and/or training.

Skills

  • Language Skills:
    • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write simple correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Math Skills:
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Skills:
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer/Office Skills:
    • Basic Windows/internet browser.
    • ERP/Inventory systems.
    • Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
    • Typing.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Physical Demands:
    • Frequent Activities: Standing, sitting, walking, typing, handling objects, talking/hearing, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.
    • Occasional Activities: Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
    • Rare Activities: Climbing/balancing, lifting/pushing/pulling heavy weights (100+ lbs), stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
    • Vision Requirements:
      • Frequent: Close vision, color vision, computer monitor use.
      • Occasional: Distance vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustments.
      • Rare: Depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
  • Work Environment:
    • Frequent Exposure: Mechanical parts, moderate-to-loud noise.
    • Occasional Exposure: Fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, very loud noise.
    • Rare Exposure: High places, outdoor weather, electrical shock, vibrations, very quiet-to-quiet noise levels.

Pay

Actual base salary offered to the selected applicant will be based on their work location, qualifications, job-related skills, relevant education, and training experience. Base hourly rate range: $18.16 - $21.79.
