About the role

The Supply Chain Technician supports the efficient operation of medical supplies throughout various healthcare settings at Oklahoma Children's Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Put away supplies into Med-Surge areas.
  • Scan inventory labels to generate replenishment orders for both stock and non-stock items.
  • Pick supplies from storage locations for distribution and placement into Case Carts, and restock Exchange Carts such as Code (Crash) Carts and Procedural Carts/Trays.
  • Check various supply locations for product expiration dates and removal according to policy.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Deliver supplies and packages to various nursing units, clinics, and other locations utilizing appropriate signature technologies.
  • Answer phone calls and emails and respond to customer service requests.
  • Perform issues and credits in the Materials Management Information System (MMIS), ensuring the cost of the items are allocated appropriately.
  • Utilize various computer technologies such as handhelds, package scanners, and software programs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure par locations are free of dirt, dust, and trash.
  • Deliver supplies and packages to various nursing units, clinics, and other locations utilizing appropriate signature technologies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0-3 years of professional experience preferred.
  • No license/certification/registration required.
  • Proficient in typing, using computers, and learning software applications.
  • Knowledgeable in general office equipment and proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a busy, high-pressure environment and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 40-50 lbs, stand for prolonged periods, and cover multiple areas at any time.

Qualifications

  • Typing, use of computers, and computer software proficiency.
  • Knowledge of general office equipment such as fax machines, copy machines, box cutters, and printers.
  • Ability to work in a busy, high-pressure environment.
  • Effective communication skills, including active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks.

Skills

  • Proficiency in utilizing the MMIS.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate various computer technologies.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
