What You Can Expect
- Fleet Management: The Fleet Management Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining a System Fleet program, licensing, registration, and insurance notification, coordinating periodic physical inventories of vehicles in the Fleet System, establishing and monitoring proper spend and use of vehicles, and user training of the System Fleet program.
- Receiving: The Receiving Specialist is responsible for documenting receipt of all supplies and equipment purchased by the medical center, issuing department supply orders from inventory on a daily basis, receiving and returning items to and from vendors, and loading into Lawson system.
- Distribution: The Distribution Specialist is responsible for issuing medical/surgical supplies to all user departments in a prompt and efficient manner, answering inquiries on product availability, filling requisitions from stock, unloading, breaking down, and ticketing supplies, and answering inquiries on product availability.
- Warehouse: The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas, sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, maintaining the medical center Record Storage Program and fixed asset systems, and moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
- Additional Responsibilities: Individual incumbents may be responsible for a general overview or may specialize in one or more of the function areas of Supply Chain Operations, including research, analysis, reconciliation of discrepancies, recommending process improvements, preparing special projects, assisting in the development and implementation of supply chain policies and procedures, serving as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues, preparing reports, performing special analysis, maintaining and reviewing reports, and recommending process improvements to increase volume of transactions as the avenue for reducing overall costs of transaction processing.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 5 years relevant experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license if required to drive.
