About the Role
The Supply Chain Analysis team is part of H-E-B’s Corporate Planning & Analysis division, which develops and maintains budgets and systems while providing current, reliable financial data, analysis, and technical information. The team focuses on Supply Chain optimization and supporting strategic initiatives through systems applications. As a Supply Chain Analyst, you’ll develop processes, tools, and reports, and provide data analytics to support H-E-B’s supply chain strategic initiatives, including supply and demand forecasting, inventory planning, logistics, and cost optimization. Once eligible, you’ll become an Owner in the company, contributing to innovation, growth, and success.
Responsibilities
- Independently identify, document, analyze, implement, and communicate solutions to meet business needs.
- Define and document current and future operational scenarios, collaborating with other business areas to translate moderately complex business needs into solutions and requirements.
- Analyze the probable impact of recommendations and solutions on other business areas and client groups.
- Contribute to cost/benefit analysis, design, and implementation of supply chain models for projects.
- Provide support and resources for ad-hoc analysis requests, tools, development, and process improvement projects.
- Identify issues and gaps within current business processes; develop solutions that drive continuous improvement.
- Serve as an emerging subject matter expert and thought leader in your focus area for clients and stakeholders.
- Manage medium to large complexity projects encompassing technologies, facilities, processes, materials, handling systems, or other business initiatives.
- Ensure projects are on schedule, of high quality, within budget, meet departmental scorecards, and create business value.
- Contribute to project efforts and status updates.
- Proactively develop project management tools for Supply Chain.
- Support and deliver training and education services to teams and resources.
- Lead, in conjunction with project teams, the delivery of processes, systems, metrics, and services.
- Maintain client-stakeholder partnerships to ensure overall satisfaction.
Requirements
- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience.
- 5+ years of supply chain experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Advanced negotiating and influencing skills.
- Advanced analytical and project management skills.
- Advanced verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects.
- Ability to work complex issues with senior management.
- Initiative and willingness to take risks.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment.
- Willingness to travel by car or plane with overnight stays.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work extended hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional Certification (for Supply Chain Systems).
- Experience developing or maintaining engineered labor standards (for Supply Chain Optimization).
- Experience with freight term changes and logistics, or Llamasoft: Supply Chain Guru (for Transportation Procurement).
