This is a hybrid position located at one of our Baltimore/Linthicum or Elkridge, MD facilities. Travel is required, up to 10% of the time.

About the role

Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional for the role of Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist within the Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability (MSTS) Division of the Mission Systems (MS) Sector. This position is responsible for source selection from contract proposal to execution phases.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program, and end-users.
  • Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services.
  • Prepare bid packages, conduct bidders conferences, analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, write awards, and administer resulting subcontracts.
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules in conjunction with the quality organization.
  • Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.
  • Manage performance of subcontracts, ensure compliance with all public law requirements, company (and business) policies and procedures, including import/export regulations.
  • Employ sound business practices and assess supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization for proper receipt recording.
  • Manage and develop strategic/key suppliers.
  • Review and approve supplier payment as needed.
  • Utilize process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of supply chain, procurement, business management, and/or related experience with a bachelor’s degree; OR a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 0 years' experience in supply chain and/or business management; OR a minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, business management, and/or related fields in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by a highly regulated industry.
  • US Citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in a regulated industry, including Aerospace & Defense, Financial Services, Telecommunications, and Manufacturing.
  • Experience in SAP.
  • Experience in International Awards.
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS.

Pay

Primary level salary range: $72,400.00 - $108,600.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
