Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains par level systems for procedure-specific departments within the hospital.
- Confirms accurate receiving of products for specific departments and verifies hospital deliveries.
- Provides resource help for expense reduction opportunities and documents monthly supply cost savings and inventory reductions.
- Maintains records such as requisition dates, delivery verifications, invoice price confirmation, back-orders, and implant pricing.
- Ensures accurate tracking of supply data, including back-orders, manufacturer numbers, expiration dates, product recalls, and lot numbers.
- Processes department-specific supply and implant requisitions, confirms accuracy, and monitors delivery date expectations.
- Works with department staff to ensure implant information accuracy.
- Helps maintain inventory by reducing it while keeping enough supplies for stores and special orders.
- Performs regular checks of expiration dates and handles removal, replacement, and documentation as directed by department leadership and SCS Director.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 year of relevant experience
- 2 years of college education preferred
- Hospital experience preferred
- Inventory experience preferred
- Basic communication skills
