Job Description BAE Systems Maritime Solutions s currently seeking an eager, talented, and motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team as a Procurement Analyst II (Supply Chain Quality Management Specialist). The Supply Chain Quality Management Specialist will serve as a critical safeguard ensuring that the BAE Systems supply chain meets the rigorous quality and regulatory standards required for defense mission success. This role is responsible for ensuring that all suppliers maintain the necessary quality certifications and Quality Management Systems (QMS) required to meet company and regulatory standards. By managing the end-to-end supplier approval process and maintaining rigorous documentation across a large-scale portfolio, this position mitigates risk and ensures the integrity of the components and services entering our production streams. Key Responsibilities as a Supply Chain Quality Management Specialist include but are not limited to: Supplier Quality Compliance: Partner closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) department to verify that all suppliers possess current and valid quality certifications. Validate supplier QMS to ensure strict alignment with BAE Systems' quality requirements.Onboarding & Documentation: Manage the Ivalua onboarding portal, ensuring all required supplier documents are uploaded, accurate, and current. Proactively track expiration dates for certifications to prevent lapses in supplier eligibility.Approval Tracking: Utilize the departmental SharePoint site to track supplier approvals and maintain a comprehensive, audit-ready record of the approved supplier list.SOW Processing: Upon notification of a Scope of Work (SOW) change by a Buyer or Program Manager, process the required documentation and track the necessary approvals through SharePoint to ensure the supplier remains qualified for the updated requirements.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Recommendation: Act as the primary bridge between P&S and QA to streamline the communication of quality expectations to the supply base. Evaluate supplier documentation and provide formal recommendations to the QA department, who holds the final authority for approval or disqualification.Portfolio Management: Oversee quality compliance and documentation for approximately 2,000 suppliers across three shipyards. Success Metrics (KPIs) Compliance Rate: Maintain 100% compliance for supplier certifications to prevent production delays and regulatory findings.Onboarding Efficiency: Reduce supplier onboarding lead time by 90% through proactive document management and streamlined portal processing.Data Accuracy: Ensure zero discrepancies between the approved supplier list (SharePoint) and actual certification status in Ivalua. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Quality, Quality Assurance, or Supplier Management, specifically within the defense or aerospace industry. Knowledge: Deep expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and industry-standard quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).Professional Certification: CQM (Certified Quality Manager) certification is highly preferredAttention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of precision regarding expiration dates and compliance documentation.Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for managing relationships with external vendors and internal technical teams.Workflow Management: Ability to manage multiple concurrent approval workflows across a high-volume supplier base. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience. Proven experience with Ivalua (or similar supplier onboarding/SRM portals).Advanced proficiency in SharePoint for document control and tracking. Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $61278 - $104173 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
