The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for the development and deployment of the Supply Plan for both purchased finished goods and manufactured goods. This role will be responsible for managing a team of Supply Planners in the US, as well as collaborating extensively with the Supply Planning team in Mexico. The objective of this role is to efficiently plan and utilize the Vestis’s manufacturing capacities and vendor network to generate the most efficient and accurate supply plan with an optimal mix of inventory to exceed customer fill rate requirements at the lowest reasonable cost. The Supply Planning Manager will be responsible for executive report outs in the monthly S&OP cadence and in select strategic leadership meetings. He/she will also be empowered (supported by the Sr. Director of Supply Chain) to design more efficient and productive Supply Planning processes leveraging existing technology and reporting. This role will be collaborative, frequently partnering with Procurement & Sourcing, Demand Planning, Production, Transportation, Distribution and Sales. Ultimately this role will be the primary Supply Planning POC for all purchased and produced product stored within the Vestis DC network. Responsibilities/Essential Functions Lead Supply Planning team to efficiently plan and utilize Vestis’s manufacturing capacities and external network, generate the most efficient and accurate production & purchasing plan, and support an optimal mix of inventory to exceed customer expectations at lowest possible landed cost. Track team performance to assess fill rates and backorders (in units and $), production plan adherence, inventory target management (including turns) and inventory obsolescence management. Responsible for building & presenting Annual Inventory Budget. Creation of inventory target strategy that aligns with fill rate requirements while adhering to inventory budget. Monitoring adherence to inventory target strategy within Supply Planning group. Collaborate with key external vendor partners to ensure purchase plan adherence. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development of the Supply Planning team to ensure clarity around delivery of the most efficient and optimal supply (production & purchased finished good) plan. Collaborate cross functionally to optimize the use of Vestis’s production capacity, inventory, and distribution network. Align with production and demand planning to ensure clear expectations for fulfilling obligations and meeting commitments to all customers (internal and external). Oversee the resolution of product availability issues for customer orders through root cause analysis & action plans. Coordinate responses to product availability issues, ensuring impact is resolved and systematic and sustainable corrective actions are deployed. Identify and develop new systems, tools, planning processes, and capabilities to improve supply planning processes for both purchased finished good and manufactured products. Lead the Supply Review portion of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and ensure alignment to customer and financial requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities. Key contributor & participant in Executive S&OP Cadence. Establish and drive improvements to KPIs, including inventory (actuals vs. budget, inventory turns), Slow Moving/Obsolete (SLOB), and customer service (Fill Rate/OTIF). Ensure ERP settings are aligned with desired system outputs including planning data, safety stocks, MRP recommendations, etc. Support and influence business planning and financial planning processes and leverage lean concepts to develop and effectively implement advanced supply chain solutions, processes, and system improvements. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required Skills: Recommended Supply Planning experience – 4-6 years Extensive knowledge of internal Vestis systems for PO and inventory management Significant product knowledge of the Vestis assortment and vendor partners Excellent cross functional relationship building and communication skills. Project leadership and cross functional leadership experience across different business groups – sourcing, operations, logistics, sales, customer service, supply chain etc Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data. Ability to analyze, translate, and interpret data for positive business outcomes across all audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Strong sense of urgency Excellent customer service skills Excellent prioritization and time management skills Ability to develop relationships and work with remote production teams. Ability to be flexible and adjust priorities frequently to match the business needs.
