About the role
The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with assigned dealers, serving as a key point of contact to support aftermarket parts performance and service execution
- Collaborate with dealer leadership and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, identify barriers, and develop actions that improve dealer and customer outcomes
- Monitor, analyze, and support improvement of key performance indicators, with particular emphasis on TDA and OTIF, through structured reviews, follow-up, and accountability
- Cross-functional activities across Order Management, Parts Inventory Collaboration (PIC), Supply Chain, Industry, and other internal support teams to resolve dealer issues and advance performance objectives
- Provide indirect leadership to an Order Management Analyst and PIC Analyst in support of several assigned dealers, including prioritization of work, alignment of actions, and follow-up on execution
- Leverage data, dealer feedback, and performance trends to identify improvement opportunities, recommend solutions, and escalate issues as appropriate
- Support deployment of standard work, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned dealer relationships
Requirements
- Effectiveness Measurement: Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Cross-Team Integration: Understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, logistics, or related field
- Experience with Aftermarket Parts Distribution, Integrated Logistics, and Global Services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
