Supply Chain & Operations Intern

About the role

This internship provides talented individuals with a fully immersive experience in the supply chain industry. Interns will receive job training and experience in various areas within the Operations Department, including Asset Manager, Customer Service Representative, and Load Planner. They will also be exposed to other departments such as Driver Recruiting, Accounting, Fleets, Safety, Sales, and Pricing.

Responsibilities

• Rotates through divisions of responsibility to shadow and train in tasks including:
  • Transportation and Capacity Planning
  • Procurement
  • Customer Service Management
  • Sales
  • Driver Relations
  • Contract Negotiations
• Takes on additional responsibilities based on departmental needs to gain experience
• Receives one-on-one support with dedicated mentors
• Trains in DOT regulations to ensure compliance
• Gains experience and understanding of general transportation and logistics management principles
• Receives and carries out instructions
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned
