Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Yancey Bros. Co., established in 1914, serves as the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, focusing on sales, parts, and service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily supply chain activities, including kitting, part put away, etc.
• Ensure timely delivery of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Maintain inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
• Identify and address inefficiencies in supply chain operations.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production schedules and logistics.
• Track and analyze key supply chain metrics, such as lead times, costs, and inventory turnover.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any non-compliance issues with the help of the quality team.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in the company's safety program and work safely.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related areas.
• Knowledge of procurement, logistics, and inventory management principles.
• Excellent organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Theory of Constraints (TOC), Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.

Skills

• Advanced problem-solving capabilities.
• Deep understanding of the Supply Chain business.
• Detailed understanding of financial and operational metrics.
• PC proficiency.
