Materials Science Solutions (MSS) is an IDEX group made up of 14 Materials Sciences businesses across 17 locations within the US, Europe, and India. These businesses include: Micro-LAM, 603 OPTX, Advanced Thin Films, Inc., CVI Laser, LLC., CVI Laser Limited, Iridian Spectral Technologies Ltd., Superior Technical Ceramics Corp. (STC), Tecan Limited, Veco B.V., Atul, Veco Precision India Pvt. Ltd. (VPI), Millux B.V., and Louwers Hanique B.V. Business Unit: 603 OPTX Keene NH OR Micro-LAM Portage MI

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in customer on-time-delivery, working capital through inventory reduction and cost reduction with sourcing savings.
• Organize and implement strategic initiatives and standardized approaches in Order Management, Demand Planning, Procurement, Inventory Management and Logistics.
• Lead a supply chain team that supports the Order to Cash framework.
• Develop and maintain safe work practices.
• Ensure the Supply Chain is synchronized to produce maximum efficiencies and lowest cost of operation.
• Work closely with leadership team to achieve operational objectives in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Develop scorecards of key suppliers in quality, delivery and cost and review performance with them quarterly.
• Develop subordinates to optimize their skills and performances in a team environment.
• Set team goals and motivate subordinates to meet or exceed these expectations.
• Conduct Daily Improvement meetings reviewing S,Q,D,C,G.
• Ensure plant and Corporate Policies are consistently administered.
• Define resource needs and work within budget and staffing parameters to accomplish objectives for areas of responsibilities.
• Help define long term production capacity, continuous improvement projects and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Complete knowledge of lean principles and coaching skills to assist in their implementation.
• ERP system knowledge.
• Strong business acumen with P&L experience.
• A solid track record for performance in operations, business, supply chain & procurement.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior management, teams and individuals.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Solid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyze, think, and communicate with well-supported data.
• Strong problem-solving skills; the ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication competencies.

Education And/or Experience

• BS in Supply Chain/Sourcing or engineering with 8 years operations experience.
• APICs certification.
• Demonstrated experience developing Order to Cash process in a lean manufacturing setting.
• Good interactive people skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, management and/or individuals.
• Team player who supports both management and team members.
• Ability to appraise a situation through data analysis and facilitate team members accordingly.
• Well-developed inter-personal skills to help focus and motivate employees in a positive and constructive fashion.
