Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end inventory planning process across all product categories, channels, and distribution locations.
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts utilizing historical sales data, seasonality trends, product launches, inventory levels, and business growth objectives.
- Lead purchase order planning and inventory replenishment activities with manufacturing partners to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Monitor supplier lead times, production schedules, inbound shipments, and inventory availability to proactively identify supply risks and mitigate disruptions.
- Establish and maintain inventory targets, safety stock levels, reorder points, and allocation strategies across warehouses and fulfillment partners.
- Partner with product, sales, and operations teams to align inventory investments with business priorities and market demand.
- Manage inventory allocation across wholesale, eCommerce, retail, and third-party fulfillment channels.
- Analyze sell-through performance, inventory turns, stockouts, excess inventory, and aging inventory to drive actionable recommendations.
- Develop and report on key supply chain metrics including inventory turns, weeks of supply, fill rates, forecast accuracy, service levels, and supplier performance.
- Create dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into inventory health, purchasing activity, inbound shipments, and operational performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, optimize working capital, and improve service levels.
- Partner with logistics and 3PL providers to support inventory movement, warehouse optimization, and fulfillment performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and operational scalability.
- Support inventory forecasting and financial planning processes by modeling inventory investments, purchasing requirements, and working capital impacts.
- Analyze inventory-related financial performance, including inventory valuation, margin implications, carrying costs, and purchase commitments.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning related to inventory and supply chain operations.
- Provide financial insights to support production planning, purchasing decisions, and overall business strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Planning, Demand Planning, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), or Supply Chain Analytics.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, forecasting methodologies, purchasing processes, and supply chain operations.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience building forecasting, inventory planning, and operational models.
- Experience working with ERP, inventory management, or supply chain planning systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts including lead times, safety stock, replenishment planning, demand forecasting, and 3PL operations.
- Experience in consumer products, footwear, apparel, retail, or eCommerce environments strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience supporting S&OP or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
- Exposure to inventory finance, working capital management, and operational FP&A.
- Experience implementing process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other reporting and analytics tools.
