Position Overview
The Supply Chain Manager owns end-to-end supply chain performance, including procurement, planning, inventory, and supply chain governance. This role leads the procurement and planning teams, drives a structured savings deployment plan, owns S&OP execution, and serves as the primary interface between Commercial and Operations to align demand, supply, and capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Cost Leadership
- Lead direct and indirect procurement teams and strategy.
- Build and execute a multi-year procurement roadmap and savings deployment plan.
- Align with Corporate Procurement on global contracts, sourcing strategies, and compliance.
- Own senior-level reporting on savings, risks, and supply continuity.
Vendor & Spend Management
- Own supplier performance, negotiations, and development.
- Manage total spend visibility, contract alignment, and risk mitigation.
- Drive cost, service, quality, and sustainability expectations across the supplier base.
Planning, Forecasting & S&OP
- Lead a customer-first, demand-driven planning process from forecast through production and material execution.
- Own commercial forecasting governance and lead the S&OP / IBP process in a fast-paced, dynamic customer environment.
- Rapidly translate evolving customer needs into executable capacity, staffing, and material plans.
- Drive scenario planning, responsiveness, and supply risk management to protect customer commitments.
Inventory, SAP & Master Data
- Own raw material planning and inventory performance.
- Establish inventory policies, safety stock strategies, and obsolescence controls.
- Govern SAP procurement and planning processes, vendor, material, and product master data.
- Ensure data integrity, transactional discipline, and audit readiness.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and develop procurement and planning teams.
- Build strong cross-functional operating rhythms.
- Drive structured problem-solving, process standardization, and digital enablement.
- Support capital projects, supplier industrialization, and new product launches.
Experience & Qualifications
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or planning within manufacturing.
- 3+ years leading teams and cross-functional processes.
- Proven success leading supply chains that support demanding, high-service customers with volatile, rapidly changing demand profiles.
- Proven success delivering cost-savings programs and leading S&OP.
- Strong SAP (MM/PP) or equivalent ERP experience.
- Background in packaging, plastics, or high-volume manufacturing preferred.
