About the role
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager. The expected annual salary range for this role is $129,000 - $190,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Responsibilities
- Manage key Supply Chain related functions such as production and materials planning, scheduling activities associated with the delivery of specific customer products, direct and indirect material purchasing, inventory control and warehousing, shipping and receiving.
- Manage and direct supply chain personnel in the procurement, receipt, disbursement, and inventory control of material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels.
- Train and educate direct reports on the use of supply chain management techniques, various business systems, varieties of reports and other related tools to ensure timely and economical completion of customer requirements.
- Lead SIOP supply plan and manage current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities to ensure execution of customer orders/programs.
- Manage plant purchasing activities for items procured to support master schedule.
- Lead supply chain Tier F meeting, establish standard work and attainment of KPIs (leading and lagging).
- Manage materials flow and transactions of inventory to support the plant’s operations by deploying lean material flow.
- Administer Direct, Indirect and MRO purchasing function according to policies and practices determined by Eaton standards.
- Generate production scheduling aligned to the plan defined by the order management and marketing teams.
- Maintain target inventory levels and meet OTD goals for both internal and external customers and overall freight targets (including premium freight) aligned with the plan defined by the network.
- Drive forecast attainment aligned with the MPS resulted from the SIOP plan.
- Execute shipment schedule aligned with the customer priority dates aligned with the customer service team.
- Champion and deploy continuous improvement leveraging tools such as internal assessments (MMA, OPA), visual management, standard work, and value stream mapping.
- Monitor execution of production schedule (schedule labor on factory floor, monitor execution of the production plan).
- Escalate material availability to the corporate procurement teams.
- Ensure quality of shipping documentation to meet corporate financial and customer audit requirements.
- Evaluate operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc.
- Manage physical inventory audit methodology which meets corporate, governmental and customer specifications.
- Initiate and monitor cycle counting procedure to inspect and insure inventory on-hand accuracy.
- Manage plant owned data health activities including but not limited to routings and WMS system, MRO, shipping and receiving, part movements, production scheduling.
- Be a point of contact to escalations related to execution of the overall SIOP plan.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum five (5) years’ combined experience in Materials, Operations and/or Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years of related professional and supervisory/Managerial experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Master’s in Business Administration from an accredited institution
- Full knowledge of SAP materials planning system requirements and order generation process logic
- Full knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
- Experience/Education in forecasting, product line structures, and business cycles
- Experience coordinating, implementing, and continually improving computerized scheduling system
- Experience with Continuous Improvement Teams & Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement Kaizen Leadership
- Experience leading physical inventory processes and inventory audit programs
- Experience initiating, and monitoring cycle counting procedure to inspect and insure inventory on-hand accuracy
- Travel may be required for this position, up to 10% of total work time
- Excellent communications skills – verbal, written and electronic
- Strong Computer / systems skills – Microsoft office products, ERP / MRP
