Responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering and Quality to identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers that can scale with us
- Develop and execute make/buy strategies with cross-functional team
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and contracts
- Develop dual-source strategies to reduce risk
- Build strong, long-term supplier partnerships, not just transactional relationships
- Issue and manage purchase orders through delivery
- Negotiate expedites by leveraging supplier relationships
- Facilitate the resolution of supplier quality, delivery, and invoicing issues
- Build lightweight but effective planning processes using high-level forecast to drive purchasing for long lead material
- Key contributor to MRP implementation, reorder point, and safety stock strategies
- Partner with Sales/Operations to implement forecast processes
- Establish clear inventory visibility and reporting
- Partner with Engineering on new product introductions (NPI)
- Work with Quality to support NQA-1 standards and Quality audits
- Partner with Manufacturing to ensure material is in place to support manufacturing plans
- Collaborate with Finance on invoice issues and procure-to-pay strategies
- Implement supply chain processes that support sustainable growth
- Establish supplier KPIs and performance scorecards
Qualifications
- Must be based in the United States
- Must be willing to work on-site at our headquarters in Austin, Texas
- 5–10 years in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain in a product-based company
- Experience with electrical sourcing and/or instrumentation and control supply chain
- Experience in a high-growth environment, strongly preferred
- Background in manufacturing, hardware, or complex assemblies preferred
- Understanding of what mature systems and operations “look-like”
