About the role
Supports new associate onboarding, administrative tasks, payroll, and engagement initiatives at assigned retail locations. Works weekends.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate new employee orientation, verify information in HR systems, conduct I-9 verification, and administer drug screens.
- Support I-9 recertification requests and maintain physical documents such as employee health and safety posters, garnishment forms, and mail.
- Assist hiring managers and talent acquisition with site-specific activities, including securing interview rooms and printing materials.
- Support payroll administrative work, including processing termination same-day pay, distributing money network cards, and routing garnishments.
- Serve as the first point of contact for associate concerns, identifying engagement opportunities or risks.
- Partner with location and HR leadership to maintain and update compliance signage and communication materials.
- Assist people leaders with accurate time-keeping, payroll data, and employee data management (conversions, transfers, moves).
- Manage facility communication updates via monitors, bulletin boards, and other channels regarding benefits, updates, and engagement.
- Support site administrative tasks, including engagement events, badge creation, and equipment distribution.
- Generate, distribute, and maintain business-related reporting for site leadership.
- Follow up on exception-based activity to improve compliance and execution.
- Assist location leadership with administrative and transactional activities as directed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent years of experience).
- 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
- 2 years of administrative experience (e.g., processing data, scheduling, using office software).
- 1 year of experience administering confidential staff information (e.g., personnel files, compliance data).
- 2 years of experience in a cross-functional team environment with exempt and non-exempt staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2 years of experience in a retail environment or equivalent relevant work experience.
